PERSONALITY: Romeo is a flirt, pimp, and a charmer. That comes with being a mafia man. He also loves to smoke and drink, they’re his favorite pastimes. As said in his weaknesses, he’s a bit arrogant, cocky, and pretty sure on what he does. But trusting people is something he has a hard time with, since in the mafia you’re only really told to trust family and people close to your mafia family. Also, when making decisions for the family, as the future heir, sometimes he’s not sure if it’s right, even when his family says so. He’s pretty weird when he gets drunk, and while he smokes, he’s not a huge smoker…He’s more of a huge drinker. But passed his flaws and if anyone can get close enough to him; Romeo’s actually a pretty nice guy who loves to flirt with the ladies.
He also has a strategical side, but that’s from being in a family of mafia men and women. He knows how to shoot a gun, he knows how to plan for “missions” that the mafia does, he knows how to do everything related to mafia life and at the same time, still be who he is.
BACKGROUND: Romeo was born in Nappa, Italy and has lived there all his life. As a child, he was always cheerful yet he was sort of a bully too. He’d tease foreigners if they couldn’t pronounce words in his native tongue correctly, and he’s say that they’d need to work on their Italian a bit more before trying to speak it to people. Yes, he liked correcting people a lot…it was hobby of his. But all in all, Romeo was a normal boy most of his life, that is…until he found his father’s stash of playboy magazines at the mere age of seven. He looked through each one and was so entranced by the beautiful women, that he wanted to live a life like the men in these magazines. That’s when he decided to become a pimp, to live a life of entertaining women and to never become a married man, unless he found the woman truly appealing enough.
A few months later, while out for some celebration that was being held for Italy…Romeo was out and about with his bodyguards to just take a stroll through town, when some idiot ran full force into him.
And that’s how he met Julian. He didn’t know during that time Julian would become his rival mafia family nor did he know he was a Courtlandt, or the next mafia heir to his family. Nothing like that mattered though, since Romeo though the kid was just an idiot who ran into him because he was probably some idiotic foreigner.
Of course when Julian began to spoke, Romeo began to tease him about his Italian was so sketchy and his accent was plain horrible. But then Julian started wailing and crying, which only made Romeo feel a bit sorry for the poor sap. So he had his bodyguard haul Julian to his feet and he took Julian’s hand in his as he dragged him through the heavy crowds, the unfamiliar buildings, and the noisy parade that circled around them until they stopped in front of people that seemed to remind Julian of his guards. Romeo had guided Julian to another group of guys in suits, though things were unfamiliar for him, Julian tried his hardest to explain who he was looking for.
Now was the bad timing of Julian’s guards catching a glance of Romeo and Julian with the neatly pressed men in suits – to make the story short, they thought Romeo had kidnapped Julian and decided an ambush on the group because it was a good idea even when they weren’t armed. Romeo remembers some of this, but not too much – one of things he remembers is that he was torn from Julian with a lot of screaming, shouting, and scuffling between some men in the background and that Romeo ended up at home with his parents worrying about his safety.
Romeo went about his business the next month, even though his parents strongly advised him to be cautious since they now had a rival family to deal with. During school though, his rival Julian did manage to show up after some time. He also saw that him and Julian were in the same class and Julian’s seat was right next to his, which didn’t really bother Romeo that much. Although after class, he began to notice that Julian seemed to have a slight fascination with him and just kept gleaming at him during all the hours they were in school, which was beginning to bother Romeo.
When Romeo got him, he kept thinking about that creepy Julian boy who kept watching and asking him during lunch and study hours. Just why was he so fascinated with him anyway? Romeo wasn’t that special or anything. But soon time passed, Romeo was now an adult man and he became a master of the machine gun and quite skilled in his studies of mafia life. A few days later though, Romeo received a letter saying that he had potential and if he wanted to show off his skills, he’d come to Japan and show the yazuka in Japan what he was made of. Of course never turning down a challenge, he took the next flight from Nappa to Tokyo. Little did he know that Julian was going to follow him soon after with the crazy logic he had developed “Romeo is my Romeo and I am his Juliet, I must follow him always”. He also had no idea Julian’s “follow Romeo around wherever he went” had turned into “devote my life to Romeo and follow him wherever he goes”.
But now with nothing holding him back from leaving Nappa, Romeo set off to Japan to see just how strong these yazuka men were and to truly see if they were worthy of his time and effort.
